The years that a student spends in the school should enable him / her to acquire sound principles of conduct and action and lay a solid foundation of true and purposeful living for the time when they will attain adulthood.

Principles of honesty, trust, co-operation, self-service, leadership and hard work are inculcated through participation in various activities in school.

The student body from class IV to XII is divided into four Houses, each under the patronage of an exemplary Indian personality- GANDHI, TAGORE, TERESA and BHABHA. Each House has a Leader and an Assistant Leader who along with the Head Boy, and Head Girl, School Prefect and their respective Assistants constitute the School Cabinet. Under the guidance of their Leaders and respective staff Advisors, House members compete in a variety of activities during the year, on the basis of which they score points for the House. The House with the best overall performance is awarded the House Trophy.

Participation in Intra Class and Inter House Competitions, Assembly presentations, Annual Functions and Inter School Competitions at different levels, both in and out of Roorkee is encouraged, to give the maximum number of students an opportunity to get involved.

The School promotes Career Counseling Seminars, out station tours, competitive examinations like Olympiads and the National Talent search Examination and participation in District, State and National Level Sports Meets. They are an integral part of the school programme to enable students to develop and nurture their special interests and abilities.

Parents should encourage their ward to take an active part in all activities listed in the Year Plan. Continuous practice and perseverance is the only road to success.
