• The entire school is housed in newly constructed spacious building, for the Senior and Primary sections. The Primary school will have classes I to V and the Secondary school from VI to class XII.  The emphasis is laid on the development of a child’s physical, intellectual, emotional, aesthetic and social aspects of personality. The children are offered ample opportunities for learning by doing, and the children’s individual progress in monitored closely. There are no formal tests and examinations, no tedious homework to complete at home and no odious comparisons within the peer group in terms of position and percentages.
  • Early childhood education
The methodology of child-centered education extends beyond the ECE to other classes in the Primary school is that the children from age 6 onward are also motivated to learn by doing, rather than depending on rote memory. The project method of learning is adopted in order to sustain and internalize learning. The curriculum that is evolved for each class focuses attention on academic excellence on the one hand, and overall development of human personality on the other.
  • Curricular and Co-Curricular activities
Education at all levels is also viewed today as an acquisition of skills rather than bookish knowledge. As such, the curriculum imposes the imperative of including in it, a variety of activities that impart skills which can form the basis for a career later on. It is with purpose in mind that all sorts of activities such as art and craft, music, dance and drama, yoga and mass PT, display of fitness and the learning of computers etc. are included in the curriculum. Children are encouraged to be analytical, creative and expressive.

The school has excellent Library and laboratoriesA well-equipped library-cum-resource centre has been set up for the benefit of both teachers and students. We have Modern Science Laboratories, various activity centers of work experience, Library, computer network and Internet, and LCD Lab.
  • Sports CampusWe have a well maintained sports campus which offers children facilities to play games of their choice. The School has maintained a sports campus to play all suitable games for children. Within the Campus the school has a beautifully constructed Basket Ball and Badminton courts, Mini Swimming Pool and an excellent roller skating  rink.Compulsory Morning SportsThe school lays a lot of emphasis on physical fitness, hence games and sports are an integral part of the school curriculum.Greenway Modern School 2, Puhana Roorkee has initiated a programme in the school for classes I to VIII, in which all students get P.T. time every morning according to the periods allotted. In addition , we have coaches who give specialized training in athletics-track and field events, games, swimming and roller skating. Regular testing and grades are awarded to the students to encourage and motivate them.Work Experience Specialists in handwork, craft, dance, vocal and instrumental music are provided for the work experience classes. These classes are extremely popular and productive.Club SystemThe traditional system of grouping children into different ‘clubs’ has the inherent advantage of fostering loyalty, team spirit and healthy competition. The school has four clubs to which children are attached as soon as they join it. These are named as Greenway Elites, Greenway Legends, Greenway Supremes, Greenway Victors  from classes 1st onwards. Every student is allotted one club. Inter clubs; inter class competitions are organized in sports, cultural programmes, creative work and academics. Emphasis is laid on the development of values through co-curricular activities. Cultural activities are streamlined in order to awaken in children, the sense of pride for the motherland and its rich heritage and the sense of being a part of the biggest democratic and secular nation in the world.
