Dr. Priya Mary Mathew

School of Business

Priya Mary Mathew is Head of School of Business. She also heads Research Cell and International Relations departments at Pearl Academy.

As a Head of School of Business at Pearl Academy, Dr. Mathew has enhanced students’ learning experience, academic rigour and advocated for increased industry connect. She has broadened the School’s international reach, embraced design thinking , launched online modules, the blended learning partnership with international institutes like INTI, Malaysia, MMU, UK and Torrens University, Australia.

Dr. Mathew also promoted collaboration across academic disciplines and administrative units as she guided the University through a period of significant financial challenges.
A Ph.D in Marketing Management, Dr. Mathew had an instrumental role in setting up the Academic Quality Standards department ( now Academic Governance Office) at Pearl Academy. In 2014, she was invited by QAA, UK to present her work of establishing the quality processes and systems, as a case study.

Previously, Dr. Mathew was a faculty at various management institutes in Delhi. She has a brief stint in industry as event manager (BridalAsia), merchandiser (JJ Buying services) and Consultant (Komark Education). She has been an academician for last sixteen years out of which ten years, she served at Pearl Academy.

Raised in Delhi, Dr. Mathew went to Delhi University where she received her Chemistry honors bachelor’s degree from Sri Venkateswara College. She went on to finish her Post Graduate Diploma In Business Management (PGDBM) from Sri Sringeri Sharada Institute of Management, Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) from NTU, UK , and the doctoral degree from Jamia Hamdard, Delhi.

Dr. Mathew has many publications credited to her and they revolve around online consumer behaviour, innovative pedagogy and future-ready employability skills. She has mentored hundreds of faculty and students for their research works. Her honors include awards in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Performance at Pearl Academy. She is one of the Board of Directors for an NGO named “Prerit Seva” and also for Life Centre School at Vasant Vihar. She is an avid speaker in various Higher Education Summits and Conferences, where she always puts across her ideas on how education can mould hearts and make youth better human beings.
